4. Materials with Poor Grindability
Minimize or avoid using such materials, as this will reduce wear on the roller surface and the entire system.
5. Entry of Metals
Various metal impurities inevitably exist in the feed of the roller press, posing a significant threat to its use. Large metal impurities will directly damage the roller surface of the roller press and may also cause it to shut down. Small particles of impurities, when accumulated, will additionally increase the wear on the roller surface of the roller press. Therefore, every effort should be made to minimize the presence of metal impurities during design and use. In operation, it is essential to ensure the proper functioning of the iron remover and metal detector. Additionally, measures should be taken to prevent the accumulation of small metal particles. When the system is equipped with a bypass to the mill, the recirculating material should be periodically bypassed into the mill. If the system does not have a bypass to the mill, the material in the constant weight warehouse should be emptied regularly. Adopting these measures can reduce the wear on the roller surface caused by enriched metals and prolong its service life.
6. Feeding Status
Uneven feeding or partial feeding of material into the stabilizing silo can cause the roller press to shut down.
7. Starting with Material
The roller press should not be started when there is material between the two rollers. Before starting the roller press each time, it is necessary to manually turn the machine, empty the material, and check if the pneumatic valve is closed. After completion, if other starting conditions are met, the roller press can be started. After starting the roller press, open the feeding pneumatic valve, appropriately increase the air volume of the circulating fan, and pump out the fine powder in the material before feeding. Otherwise, due to excessive fine powder, it may also cause the roller press to shut down.
